Description

Creeping Rosemary, also commonly known as Prostrate Rosemary, is a fragrant edible herb with needle-like leaves, a woody herbal aroma and a naturally trailing growth habit.

It is commonly used for roasted dishes, grilled meats, potatoes, soups, sauces, infused oil, western cooking and home herb gardens. Compared to upright Rosemary, Creeping Rosemary grows in a lower, spreading form, making it suitable for pots, containers, hanging edges and decorative herb displays.

Our Creeping Rosemary plants are grown in our Thailand nursery following organic growing standards.

Care Guide

Light: Full sun, ideally 6–8 hours daily
Water: Water lightly and allow the top layer of media to dry slightly before watering again
Airflow: Grow in a bright and airy location
Media: Use a well-draining mix if repotting into a larger pot
Optional Amendment: Add French Bark Nugget 8–15mm to improve drainage and airflow
Avoid: Overwatering, soggy media and growing in low-light or poorly ventilated areas

Recommended Chaiyo Mix for Home Growing
Creeping Rosemary prefers a well-draining and airy mix.
If repotting into a larger pot, we recommend:
60% Chaiyo Universal Substrate
40% French Bark Nugget 8–15mm
This helps improve airflow around the roots and reduces the chance of soggy media.
Adjust watering based on sunlight, airflow, heat and humidity. Creeping Rosemary prefers to dry slightly between watering and should not sit in wet media for too long.

Harvesting Tip
Trim small sprigs when needed. Regular light trimming helps encourage bushier growth and maintain a neat trailing shape.

Important Note
This is a live plant. Plant size, shape and fullness may vary slightly from photos. For best results, place Creeping Rosemary in a bright, sunny and airy location.
