  • Light: Full sun to partial shade, ideally 4–8 hours daily
  • Water: Keep media slightly moist, but not waterlogged
  • Airflow: Grow in a bright and airy location
  • Media: Repot using Chaiyo Universal Substrate
  • Optional Amendment: Add Perlite or French Bark Nugget 8–15mm if your growing area is humid, shaded, low-airflow or the media stays wet for too long
  • Avoid: Overwatering and heavy, soggy media

Recommended Chaiyo Mix for Home Growing
At our Thailand nursery, we grow Lemon Balm using VEP Mix under nursery growing conditions.

For home growing, we recommend Chaiyo Universal Substrate as a suitable potting base. If your growing area is more humid, shaded, low-airflow, or the media stays wet for too long, add Perlite or French Bark Nugget 8–15mm to improve drainage and airflow.

Adjust watering based on sunlight, airflow, heat and humidity. Lemon Balm enjoys slightly moist media, but it should not stay soggy for too long.

Harvesting Tip
Snip leaves regularly to encourage bushier growth. Harvest young fresh leaves for the best aroma.
