Recommended Chaiyo Mix for Home Growing
At our Thailand nursery, we grow Oregano using VEP Mix under nursery growing conditions.
For home growing, we recommend Chaiyo Universal Substrate as a suitable potting base. If your growing area is more humid, shaded, low-airflow, or the media stays wet for too long, add Perlite or French Bark Nugget 8–15mm to improve drainage and airflow.
Adjust watering based on sunlight, airflow, heat and humidity. Oregano prefers a well-draining mix and should not stay soggy for too long.
Harvesting Tip
Snip leaves and stems regularly to encourage bushier growth. Harvest before flowering for the best flavour and aroma.
