Description
Perlite is a lightweight expanded volcanic mineral amendment that helps improve drainage, aeration and root airflow in potting mixes.
The 6-10mm grade is a chunkier perlite size suitable for aroid mixes, house plants, orchids, large pots, chunky potting mixes and plants that prefer better airflow around the roots. It helps create a more open and breathable growing media structure.
Perlite is best used by mixing it with other growing media. Avoid using it alone for long-term potting, as it does not hold enough nutrients by itself and may dry out too quickly for some plants.
