Recommended Chaiyo Mix for Home Growing
At our Thailand nursery, we grow Shiso Red using 100% Chaiyo Universal Substrate under nursery growing conditions.

For home growing, we recommend
Chaiyo Universal Substrate as a suitable potting base. If your growing area is more humid, shaded, low-airflow, or the media stays wet for too long, add a small amount of Perlite 2–4mm to improve drainage and airflow.

Adjust watering based on sunlight, airflow, heat and humidity. Shiso Red enjoys consistent light moisture, but the media should not stay soggy.

Harvesting Tip
Harvest leaves when needed by picking outer leaves or trimming small stem tips. Regular light harvesting helps encourage fresh new growth.

Important Note
This is a live plant. Plant size, shape, fullness and leaf colour may vary slightly from photos. Bare root Shiso Red must be repotted as soon as possible after receiving.
