Avoid: Overwatering, soggy media and letting the plant dry out completely for long periods

Recommended Chaiyo Mix for Home Growing
At our Thailand nursery, we grow Sweet Basil using VEP Mix under nursery growing conditions.

For home growing, we recommend:
Chaiyo Universal Substrate as a suitable potting base. If your growing area is more humid, shaded, low-airflow, or the media stays wet for too long, add Perlite 2–4mm or French Bark Nugget 8–15mm to improve drainage and airflow.
Adjust watering based on sunlight, airflow, heat and humidity. Sweet Basil enjoys consistent moisture, but the media should not stay soggy.

Harvesting Tip
Harvest the top leaves or stem tips regularly to encourage bushier growth. Avoid removing too much of the plant at one time.

This is a live plant. Plant size, shape and fullness may vary slightly from photos. Bare root Sweet Basil must be repotted as soon as possible after receiving.
