Care Guide
Light: Full sun to bright direct light, ideally 6–8 hours daily
Water: Water lightly and allow the top layer of media to dry slightly before watering again
Airflow: Grow in a bright and airy location
Media: Use Chaiyo Universal Substrate with added drainage amendment if repotting into a larger pot
Optional Amendment: Add French Bark Nugget 8–15mm to improve drainage and airflow
Avoid: Overwatering, soggy media and growing in low-light or poorly ventilated areas
Recommended Chaiyo Mix for Home Growing
Thyme prefers a well-draining and airy mix.
If repotting into a larger pot, we recommend:
60% Chaiyo Universal Substrate
40% French Bark Nugget 8–15mm
This helps improve airflow around the roots and reduces the chance of soggy media.
Adjust watering based on sunlight, airflow, heat and humidity. Thyme prefers to dry slightly between watering and should not sit in wet media for too long.
Harvesting Tip
Trim small sprigs when needed. Regular light trimming helps encourage bushier growth and keeps the plant compact.
Important Note
This is a live plant. Plant size, shape and fullness may vary slightly from photos. For best results, place Thyme in a bright, sunny and airy location.
